We are currently working with a leading engineering consultancy who are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to work on a diverse range of technically challenging projects across a variety of sectors. You'll join a talented and supportive team, delivering high-quality engineering solutions while having the opportunity to develop your technical and leadership skills.

You will have a strong background in Mechanical Building Services, ideally with professional registration or a willingness to work towards Chartered status. You'll have experience delivering projects and may have experience managing mechanical packages on larger schemes.


We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who:
andmiddot;Has strong experience in Mechanical Building Services design
andmiddot;Has experience across HVAC and Public Health systems
andmiddot;Takes ownership of projects and uses initiative to deliver effective engineering solutions
andmiddot;Is commercially aware and focused on client satisfaction
andmiddot;Has experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
andmiddot;Can mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
andmiddot;Holds a relevant engineering degree
andmiddot;Is Chartered, or actively working towards Chartered status
andmiddot;Has excellent communication and presentation skills
andmiddot;Can develop strong relationships with clients, contractors and other stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:
andmiddot;Design and specify Mechanical Building Services systems in line with current standards, regulations and project requirements
andmiddot;Produce detailed design deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports
andmiddot;Undertake site surveys and provide support throughout the construction stage
andmiddot;Coordinate mechanical design with wider multidisciplinary teams
andmiddot;Liaise directly with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
andmiddot;Contribute to tenders, bids, proposals, fee estimates and scopes of work
andmiddot;Support project delivery, including programme, cost, quality and client requirements
andmiddot;Take responsibility for mechanical services packages on small to medium-sized projects
andmiddot;Promote quality, compliance and engineering best practice across projects


Skills & Experience:
andmiddot;Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
andmiddot;Membership of CIBSE, ideally working towards Chartered status
andmiddot;Proven experience in Mechanical Building Services Engineering
andmiddot;Strong HVAC and Public Health design experience
andmiddot;Experience producing technical specifications and detailed design information
andmiddot;Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
andmiddot;Experience contributing to bids, tenders and proposals
andmiddot;Good understanding of the commercial aspects of projects
andmiddot;Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
andmiddot;Experience with Navisworks
andmiddot;Experience with NBS Create / Chorus
