Salary: £14.00 - £18.00 per hour

About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistants (SHCAs) to join our agency workforce in Hull, Beverley and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible working opportunities across a variety of healthcare settings, including care homes, nursing homes and supported living services.
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting clinical teams, promoting service users' well-being, and assisting with the supervision care assistants on the shift.

Key Responsibilities
andmiddot;Support service users with daily activities and well-being in line with care plans
andmiddot;Assist with nutrition and hydration support, including meal preparation and encouragement
andmiddot;Monitor and record vital signs (e.g. temperature, pulse, weight) where required
andmiddot;Support service users with medication in line with training and policies
andmiddot;Promote independence, dignity, and respect at all times
andmiddot;Maintain accurate care records and documentation
andmiddot;Provide emotional support and companionship
andmiddot;Supervise and support healthcare assistants and new staff members
andmiddot;Liaise effectively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families
andmiddot;Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control policies

Requirements
andmiddot;Minimum 6 months experience as a Senior Healthcare Assistant
andmiddot;Experience administering medication to service users and use of MAR chart
andmiddot;Relevant qualification desired(e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent)
andmiddot;Competency in manual handling, safeguarding, and basic life support
andmiddot;Ability to work independently and within a team
andmiddot;Strong communication and interpersonal skills
andmiddot;Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
andmiddot;Right to work in the UK
andmiddot;Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
