Experienced PTS Electricians required in East Suffolk, starting Saturday 14th November to mid-December.

The role will involve the installation, glanding, termination and testing of electrical supplies, with a particular focus on LV power supplies, points heating systems and signalling feeder cables.

This is an excellent opportunity to become involved in a major infrastructure project, carrying out varied electrical installation works as part of the Sizewell C development.

Hours: 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday Roster

Job Duties

• Installation, glanding, termination and testing of 3-phase LV supplies, including 5-core SWA cables up to 95mmandsup2;.
• Installation and termination of points heating supplies, including heating strips and probes.
• Termination and testing of electrical supplies to and from points heating transformers.
• Disconnection and recovery of redundant electrical supplies following changeovers to new installations.
• Installation, glanding, termination and testing of 650V signalling feeder cables.
• Ensuring all electrical installation and testing works are completed safely and to the required standards.

Essential Experience & Skills

• PTS Card
• Previous electrical installation experience.
• Experience with LV electrical supplies and 3-phase systems.
• Competent in SWA cable glanding and termination.
• Experience carrying out electrical testing.
