Part-Time Year 2 Teacher - 2 Days a Week

Chelmsford | January 2027 Start | Initial 2-Term Contract

Academics are delighted to be working in partnership with a lovely infant school in Chelmsford who are looking to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to their team from January 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and welcoming school where you will become part of a supportive team, working alongside colleagues who are passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment for their pupils.

The school is looking for someone who can bring energy, enthusiasm and creativity into the classroom, helping children to build confidence, develop their independence and make excellent progress as they move through Key Stage 1.

About the role:

• Teaching a Year 2 class for two days per week.
• January 2027 start.
• Initially offered for two terms, with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter.
• Planning and delivering engaging, creative and differentiated lessons.
• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels encouraged and supported.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Have a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
• Be confident planning and delivering lessons that engage and challenge pupils of different abilities.
• Have a nurturing approach and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Be reliable, organised and keen to become part of a school community.
