We're recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician who enjoys working independently, diagnosing faults and keeping a commercial vehicle fleet safely on the road.

A company van can be provided, giving you the flexibility to attend vehicles and carry out repairs both on-site and at the roadside when required.

The Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnosis and repair of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
Duties will include:
andmiddot;HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs
andmiddot;Fault finding and diagnostics
andmiddot;Routine preventative maintenance
andmiddot;Brake, suspension and general mechanical repairs
andmiddot;Preparing vehicles for MOT
andmiddot;Attending breakdowns and carrying out roadside repairs
andmiddot;Identifying defects and ensuring vehicles are repaired safely and efficiently
andmiddot;Completing accurate maintenance and repair documentation
andmiddot;Working closely with transport and operations teams to minimise vehicle downtime

About You
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic with:
andmiddot;Minimum 3 years' HGV Technician experience
andmiddot;Relevant HGV / mechanical qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
andmiddot;Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
andmiddot;Good knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
andmiddot;Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
andmiddot;Full UK Driving Licence
andmiddot;Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
andmiddot;Pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship
