I am recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for my client in Yateley a leading innovator in advanced defence technology. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in this sector and grow with a thriving and innovative company.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of design projects from concept through to manufacture? Creating innovative mechanical designs, produce high-quality engineering drawings, support prototype development, and work closely with engineering and production teams.
What You Will Need
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years' design engineering experience
- Strong SolidWorks and/or Inventor skills
- Experience producing engineering drawings to BS8888
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable
- MRP experience
- Experience within defence, marine, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing sectors
Security Requirements
- UK nationals only. No dual nationality
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance
- UK residency for the last 5 years required
