MASTER TECHNICIAN
Location: Birmingham
Basic Salary: Up to £40,000
OTE: Up to £50,000
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

THE ROLE
As a Master Technician, you will take the lead on complex technical and diagnostic work while supporting the wider workshop team.
Your responsibilities will include:
andmiddot;Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults across a range of vehicle systems
andmiddot;Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work to the highest standards
andmiddot;Ensuring a high level of quality and achieving a first-time fix
andmiddot;Investigating customer-reported faults and identifying effective repair solutions
andmiddot;Providing technical feedback and resolutions through manufacturer technical platforms
andmiddot;Staying at the forefront of automotive technology, including Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
andmiddot;Leading by example and demonstrating technical best practice
andmiddot;Supporting, mentoring and providing technical assistance to other Technicians
andmiddot;Assisting with the development and training of apprentices and junior colleagues
andmiddot;Completing Vehicle Health Checks and identifying additional repair opportunities
andmiddot;Maintaining accurate job documentation and repair records
andmiddot;Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
andmiddot;Completing MOT tests in line with DVSA standards where applicable

ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and technically capable Master Technician with:
andmiddot;NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent
andmiddot;Previous experience as a Master Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician
andmiddot;Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
andmiddot;Additional manufacturer training and technical recognition would be advantageous
andmiddot;A passion for learning and developing within modern vehicle technology
andmiddot;Knowledge or experience of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
andmiddot;The ability to work independently while supporting the wider workshop team
andmiddot;Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
