Job Description
Smile Education are-currently recruiting for-an experienced HR-Officer to start-immediately at a-welcoming further education-college in Solihull.

The successful applicant-will be responsible-for-providing comprehensive-HR support across-the college, ensuring-HR processes are-delivered efficiently and-in line-with employment legislation-and college policies. This will include-supporting recruitment-and onboarding, maintaining-employee records, advising-managers-on HR procedures, coordinating absence management-processes, and responding-to general HR-enquiries.

This is an-excellent opportunity to-join a supportive-and professional HR-team within-a well-established-further education college. The expected salary-range for the-role is between16.00 - -18.00 per-hour, depending on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing day-to-day HR administrative-and advisory support.
  • Coordinating recruitment, selection, and onboarding-activities.
  • Preparing-contracts, offer letters, and employment documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate employee-records and HR-databases.
  • Supporting managers with-absence, disciplinary, grievance, and capability procedures.
  • Assisting with payroll-administration and contractual-changes.
  • Ensuring compliance-with employment legislation, safeguarding, and safer-recruitment practices.
  • Responding to HR-queries from staff-and-managers in a-timely and professional-manner.
  • Producing HR reports-and workforce data-for senior management.
  • Supporting employee wellbeing, training, and development-initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively-with managers and-external agencies where-required.
The Ideal Candidate-Will:
  • Have previous experience-working within an-HR Officer-or HR Advisor-role.
  • Hold or be-working towards a-CIPD qualification (Level-3 or-Level 5 desirable).
  • Have a sound-understanding of UK-employment law and-HR best practice.
  • Be highly-organised with excellent-attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication-and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to-manage confidential information-with discretion and-professionalism.
  • Have strong IT-skills, including Microsoft-Office and HR-information-systems.
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and able to-prioritise a varied-workload.
What-to Expect from-Applicants:
We are looking-for applicants with-previous experience within-a Human Resources-environment, ideally gained-within education, the-public sector, or-a similarly regulated-organisation. Experience-supporting recruitment,-employee-relations, HR administration, and maintaining HR-systems is highly-desirable.
