Salary: £18.00 - £19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday | Flexible start and finish times
Standard Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

HGV Technician - Flexible Working Hours

We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join an expanding commercial vehicle repair business in the Nottingham area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for a stable, long-term position with flexible working hours, additional Saturday work and overtime opportunities.

The standard working day is 8:00am - 5:00pm, however the business can offer flexibility for technicians who would prefer to start and finish earlier or later.

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for:
andmiddot;Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs.
andmiddot;Preparing vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection.
andmiddot;Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspections.
andmiddot;Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
andmiddot;Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues.
andmiddot;Attending breakdowns when required.
andmiddot;Completing service records and paperwork accurately.
andmiddot;Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and workshop housekeeping.
andmiddot;Working independently and supporting the wider workshop team.

About You
We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician with:
andmiddot;Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs.
andmiddot;Level 3, City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualification preferred.
andmiddot;Experienced time-served technicians will also be considered, so formal qualifications are not essential for the right candidate.
andmiddot;Good mechanical and fault-finding skills.
andmiddot;Diagnostic experience would be advantageous.
andmiddot;MOT testing experience would also be beneficial.
andmiddot;A reliable and professional approach to work.
