Job Description

MCR Gas is looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing team, working across a range of facilities management contracts throughout Manchester and the North West.

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, fault finding, servicing, repairs and compliance checks across a variety of commercial gas systems.

We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable and confident working within a facilities management environment. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, communicate well with clients and colleagues, and deliver a high standard of service on every job.

The role will include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance of commercial gas appliances and systems

  • Reactive breakdown work

  • Fault finding and diagnostics

  • Servicing, repairs and remedial works

  • Commercial gas safety and compliance checks

  • Working across commercial and facilities management sites

  • Completing accurate job records and documenting work carried out

  • Communicating clearly with clients, colleagues and the office team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least three years' experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer

  • Relevant commercial gas qualifications, including COCN1 and appliance-specific qualifications appropriate to the work

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

  • Good communication and customer service skills

  • A professional and reliable approach

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Pride in delivering quality workmanship

  • A full driving licence
